The event brought together industry experts and practitioners to explore how the increasing availability of e‑invoicing data—particularly through tax authority systems—can reshape and accelerate factoring operations.
Rising Importance of E‑Invoicing Across CEE
The discussions took place against a backdrop of rapid regulatory and technological change across the region:
- Hungary, Serbia and Poland have already implemented mandatory e‑invoicing (KSeF), enabling invoice data retrieval via Tax Authority APIs
- Slovakia is set to follow with mandatory e‑invoicing from January 2027
- Romania continues to expand its RO e‑Factura system, which currently supports invoice download, with full API access expected in the near future
