At our latest #WOAConf24 Boglárka Wanderscheid (Head of Working Capital Solutions Directorate at K&H Bank Hungary) presented their use-case – which, I must say, is the first one in the region – on API integration for retrieving e-invoicing data from the Hungarian Tax Authority. Such implementation was possible due to mandatory e-invoicing regulations, which came into force in Hungary in 2021 and were obligatory for all business customers.
Thanks to such integration customer journey for K&H’s bank customers for invoice finance looks the following way: customers in their online banking system see which invoices they can finance with the bank and just click to choose which ones they’d like to get financed. There is no application process, no uploading of invoices in PDF by the customers, just consent from the customer’s side on which invoices they would like to finance. After receiving the consent, the bank finances chosen invoices within 24 hours.
This is a great example of the new customer journeys which become possible when e-invoicing data is available on the market (a result of eimplementtaion of e-invoicing regulations). When companies are obliged to exchange data in electronic structured data format, structured invoice data becomes available, and it can be used in the digital financing process.
