This topic is becoming increasingly relevant:
- In Poland, mandatory e‑invoicing (KSeF) was implemented this year, with invoice data retrievable via Tax Authority APIs.
- Slovakia will introduce mandatory e‑invoicing in January 2027.
- In Romania, RO e‑Factura offers download access today, with full API access expected to follow.
We will explore how these developments can support more efficient, automated factoring operations in Romania.

Presentation on the current state of digital factoring in CEE, based on the Annual Digital Factoring Study by WOA.digital.
2. Accelerating Factoring with Digital Invoice Data
We will explore practical examples from the CEE region, including:
- Embedded invoice finance — how factoring is integrated into online invoicing platforms.
- Use cases from Hungary, where customers can initiate factoring and retrieve e‑invoice data from the Tax Authority via API.
- Romanian context —
- Overview of the RO e‑Factura process.
- How factoring platforms can retrieve invoices submitted to RO e‑Factura.
- How e‑invoicing data can be used directly in factoring operations.
We will also walk through a future customer journey integrating RO e‑Factura:
- The customer logs into the factoring portal.
- The portal retrieves issued invoices directly from the Tax Authority.
- The customer selects invoices they want to finance.
- Data flows automatically into the factoring system for processing.
