Following its rebranding as part of the Nest Bank Group, Nest Faktoria in Poland is combining the strength of a bank group with the flexibility of a specialist factor. In this interview, Paweł Krasuski, Member of the Management Board, talks about the company’s digital approach, from two-minute B2B BNPL decisions and e-invoicing (KSeF) integration to AI-driven customer service, and the four strategic priorities that will shape its growth.
Olena Gryniuk (WOA digital): Nest Faktoria recently underwent a rebranding as part of the Nest Bank Group in Poland. What does this change mean for your customers, and how does it strengthen your market position?
Paweł Krasuski (Nest Faktoria): The rebranding was a major project for us this year. We have a new logo, a new name and a new colour scheme – but we have gained far more than that. We now operate under the umbrella of the well-recognized Nest Bank brand. By standing shoulder to shoulder with Nest Bank, we are positioning ourselves as a credible, reliable and secure partner. That is the message we want to send to our clients: we are part of a group that truly understands the needs of entrepreneurs. Alongside traditional products such as bank accounts, loans and leasing, the Group provides professional expertise in factoring solutions. A shared brand identity gives us the opportunity to promote our factoring offering to a much wider audience, including existing clients of other Group companies, namely Nest Bank, Nest Lease and Nest Ubezpieczenia (Nest Insurance).
In terms of market positioning, I am convinced this move will bring us only benefits. From now on, every marketing initiative that builds awareness of the Nest brand also indirectly promotes Nest Faktoria. It would be unwise not to take advantage of that. We want to reinforce the perception that designing tailor-made solutions and bespoke terms of cooperation is part of our DNA. I should add one important caveat, however. The change of name has not turned us into a typical bank-owned factor. We retain our autonomy in credit policy, pricing policy and servicing processes. We know the factoring business inside out, and standardizing processes in this area across the Group would not necessarily make sense.
OG: Who is your primary target customer, and what are the key needs you help address?
PK: We welcome any business that is focused on managing its liquidity effectively. To narrow that broad group down somewhat, I am thinking of clients dealing with extended payment terms on their receivables, as well as purchases that require immediate funding. I would rather not single out preferred sectors, because our experience shows that, in a great many cases, the way transactions are structured, or the client’s business environment in terms of its counterparties, calls for individually tailored solutions. What we certainly aim to address is the need to resolve temporary, seasonal and sometimes long-term cash flow difficulties. We strive to be there wherever a client’s inability to manage liquidity effectively slows down, restricts or even entirely prevents them from running and growing their business. Increasingly, our solutions are no longer seen as tools reserved for difficult times. Factoring products have become a deliberate choice for entrepreneurs – one that has become a permanent part of how they do business.
OG: What are the core products and services offered by Nest Faktoria?
PK: Today, Nest Faktoria’s offering goes beyond standard factoring products to include more advanced solutions such as Data Factoring and BNPL. We are working intensively and systematically on automating servicing processes in Data Factoring, harnessing AI and incorporating elements of robotic process automation. To meet the needs of clients with extensive networks of counterparties, we must provide seamless and highly automated receivables management. The same applies to spingo, our proprietary BNPL model, where we are implementing a range of changes that will ultimately allow us to scale the solution significantly. Our newest product, launched in Q1 2026, is the Factoring Loan. It is Nest Faktoria’s offering for clients who own real estate and wish to use it as collateral to raise funds for any purpose. The product has attracted very strong interest.
OG: How digital is the customer journey today? To what extent can clients complete the factoring application process online, and how quickly can they expect a financing decision?
PK: We want financing to be available exactly when a business needs it – at the point of purchase. The best example of this approach is spingo, our deferred payment service for businesses (B2B BNPL). The client buys goods or services from a partner that offers spingo in its sales channel, pays for the purchase later, and the financing decision is made online. In Poland, BNPL is most commonly aimed at consumers; with Nest Faktoria, companies can use it for their business purchases too. The entire process, from application to decision, takes less than two minutes and is completed within the checkout process, with no additional paperwork for the client. Another example is the 1‑Click Loan, which has been nominated for the WOA WOW Awards 2026. Designed specifically for existing Nest Faktoria customers, the product enables businesses to apply for financing directly through the online client portal.
The application process is simple and intuitive, takes a few seconds, and the decision is issued automatically.
For more advanced products, the time to a credit decision depends on the complexity of the application and the company’s financial standing. Here, too, we rely on digital data. Bank statements are automatically read and analysed online, which considerably shortens the assessment and reduces the number of documents the client needs to provide. Poland’s National e-Invoicing System (KSeF) is also playing an increasingly important role. Thanks to our KSeF integration, we retrieve and verify financed invoices directly in the system. The client does not need to send them to us, and we can see immediately that a document has been issued.
Once the agreement is signed, the client gains access to a client portal where they can manage their agreement independently. In one place, they can administer invoices and their list of debtors and have full visibility of fees. Through the portal, they can also request to add a new debtor or increase their financing limit – online, at any time. Once financing is released, funds can reach the client’s account in as little as 15 minutes.
OG: How is artificial intelligence being used within your factoring operations, and what benefits does it bring to your customers and internal processes?
PK: AI is already an integral part of our day-to-day work, both in client relationships and in internal processes. We use the technology to analyse client potential, which allows us to assess more accurately which companies we can offer financing to, and to what extent. In client service, AI summarises conversations and completed tasks and then suggests next steps. As a result, the relationship manager always has the full context of the relationship, and nothing slips through the cracks.
We are also building a self-learning knowledge base. Articles are created based on real client experiences and questions, so the base is constantly growing and reflects clients’ actual needs. We also use AI for reporting: an employee describes the information they need, and AI translates this into the appropriate data queries and generates a complete report.
Everyone benefits. Thanks to AI, clients enjoy faster, better-tailored service and a relationship manager who fully understands their situation and business context. For us, it means less administrative work, faster access to data and more time for what matters most – supporting our clients’ businesses.
OG: What are your key strategic priorities and development plans for the coming years?
PK: We have set four key priorities for the coming years. The first is developing BNPL for businesses, with spingo at its core. We want to grow it together with key partners by embedding deferred payments directly in their sales channels. We are also working on a new version of our BNPL product that will give partners and their clients greater flexibility, including in terms of payment periods. Partners will gain a tool that supports their sales, while their clients – particularly micro-enterprises and SMEs – will gain more freedom in managing their liquidity.
Our second priority is enhancing solutions based on the National e-Invoicing System (KSeF). We are integrated with KSeF and use it in our day-to-day client servicing, but we see significant potential for further development. Mandatory e-invoicing means that transaction data is structured, reliable and available as soon as a document is issued. We want to make much broader use of it. New functionality will support faster risk assessment, more effective fraud prevention, automation of further stages of the process and the creation of new features for our clients. We see KSeF as a foundation for the further digitalization of financing, rather than just another regulatory obligation.
Our third focus is wider use of AI across the entire organization, including in direct client service processes. Nest Bank’s achievements in this area have inspired us to consider an assistant modelled on “N!Asystent”, which Nest Bank offers in its mobile banking app. We want Nest Faktoria’s clients to benefit from innovative solutions and save time as well. We plan to extend AI to further processes while maintaining full control over data, regulatory compliance and human oversight of key decisions.
Our fourth priority is systems security. As part of the Nest Bank Group, we operate to banking standards and invest consistently in infrastructure resilience, client data protection and business continuity. All of these areas reinforce one another. Modern, fast financing is only possible when it is backed by secure and reliable systems.
